The Mental Health Association in Ulster County offers two young adult programs:
The A.C.E.S. (Academic Coaching for Education Success) program provides support for students with psychiatric disabilities to help them navigate the college environment.
The Transitions Program in Ulster County supports young adults with mental health or substance abuse challenges who are homeless or at risk. Staff meet participants twice a month or twice a week, offering case management and guidance to achieve personal goals. The program is voluntary and free, requiring either commercial insurance or none. It aims to empower young adults aged 18-26 through collaborative assistance and advocacy, with enrollment needing a completed SPOA application. Services generally last up to 18 months.
